Since my youth I have always been infatuated with the concept of leadership. I have always held a strong desire to become one who motivates, inspires, and guides others towards a single goal and purpose. After much contemplation, I have been able to finally establish a reason as to why leadership sparks my attention. This is because leadership gives one the ability to create change in the things that you are passionate about. Being a leader gives you an ability to create new ideas in others and to inspire others to better themselves. I view leadership as a means to work alongside your peers and equals to achieve something that no one could accomplish in solitude. One of my biggest passions in life lies in God and all of his works. In my church “El Rey Jesus” I lead a group of young men and women to take I other teens from troubled situations and teach them about the gospel of Christ. Unlike most that see leadership as a means to assert their dominance over others, I see leadership as a means to allow me to create a change in my community and in those around me. In addition to this I believe that the idea of leadership appeals to me most of all because it allows you to become more involved and committed to whatever it is you are doing. A leader is one who is prepared to see through a task to its completion with diligence and efficiency no matter how small or large the task may be. Being in charge of the completion of a task gives you a certain sense of commitment and pride to the task that can only be obtained through becoming a leader. The appeal and the curiosity for leadership has allowed me to be able to commit myself even further into the things that passionate me. In my school I have used my interests in leadership to be able to cultivate any activity I am involved in and besides walking with Christ my greatest passion lies in singing and in my music. As part
