Outcome 3 – Know how a personal development plan can contribute to own learning and development 1. A personal development plan is an action plan of goals, development and reflection in the work place. It outlines your strengths, weaknesses, improvements needed and goals that you have set for yourself/had set for you. It includes things that you are working towards and plan to achieve in the future. 2.
An individual care plan must be followed, if it is in place, it is a prescription for services, and funded as such. To deviate from an individual's care plan goes against their personal objectives and therefore is not billable. Staff who support the individual have participated in proposing the plan and are invested in serving them to achieve their outcome. Person-centred approach puts the person's goals and what matters to them at the forefront and their desires, strengths and abilities are all factored in. It is the approach that service agencies are trending towards naturally and the funding agencies have followed suit and reinforced that is the way to serve an individual.
When you need to reflect on yourself, you need to put your thoughts into words. It also forces you to make your thoughts clear so that they can be conveyed by language. Self Reflection helps us to gain an understanding of who we are as individuals first, beyond who we are as leaders. Because, to be truly effective at leading others, we need to be effective at ‘leading’ ourselves and if we are unable to really know ourselves, we are only being deluded into thinking that we can lead ourselves. Self-reflection allows us to recognize our core values, not just by naming what we value, but why those things are most important to us.
Effective missionaries are lifelong learners of culture, working to understand where their people currently are so they can lead them to a true, yet truly enculturated, understanding of the grace and truth of Jesus Christ. They understand that the core of the Good News can come wrapped in different packages and expressions. That is all to say, this book by Reggie McNeal resonates with my passion for people with a missional faith. That we should be more missional. To survive as a church in this modern western world, we need a huge paradigm shift of being missional.
This person uses abilities to influence a group toward obtaining a particular result. These abilities are motivating and enabling others to contribute toward the effectiveness and success of the group of which they are members. The field of leadership has evolved and gained mega popularity over the years. While different theoretical perspectives have come and gone, common principles have emerged which remain essential for effective leadership. Some of them are: the importance of honesty and integrity in leadership; the need of effective communication inside the organization; the necessity to understand the team's business or mission; and, the requirement to adapt to changing situational factors.
In order for him to succeed and fulfill his personal legend, he must remove doubt and fear from his mind and replace it with strength and persistence. Santiago’s journey is a lesson, reminding us that anything worth having requires great determination and perseverance and that one does not succeed
Analyzing Michael Saul Dell as Leader in the Context of Transformational Leadership Theory Transformational leadership works when leaders set out to empower followers and nurture them in creating change. They act as role models for their followers, listen to them and make them have a vision (which is a focal point for transformational leadership). Model the way – “you have to open your heart and let people know what you really think and believe.” I found this quote very convincing. From my experience, leaders that believe in the project or task and voice their values allows them to create a more open line of communication and set a positive tone for the group. This practice is very important in any leadership role because “people follow the person first, then the plan. “ Inspire a shared vision – having the desire to make something happen and create change. In order to do this the leader must understand their followers and “speak their language.” Effectively communicating the overall vision and expressing what you stand for are the key components to this practice.
Whatever the situation is, no matter how big the problem is we should never step aside but must be able to rise and get out of it. Thus, we should never give up but should constantly try hard to reach our goal. We should be passionate and focused on important things to succeed. We should believe on our potential and take our failures in positive way without assuming various things that distract us to move away from the path of success. Having to know about these elements and putting it on practice, wouldn’t our life be easier and isn’t success on our
