Music has made a huge influence on my life. Music helps express how people feel towards society, other people, and occurring events. There are many ways to enjoy music by listening to it, playing an instrument, and making it. If you’re interested in making music for a living then you should definitely choose it as a career. You need to be beyond prepared; you must have a lot of knowledge about music and also be smart and think about how you can relate to people (listeners) to your music.
With my voice I can share my feelings, show people who I am, and tell stories. Having a voice should be important to everyone because it is your way of expressing yourself. My voice is important because it represents me as an individual. It is the sound that makes me who I am and it helps me to share my likes and dislikes. With my voice I am able to share my biggest secrets and tell my latest jokes, with my best friend of course.
It can be clearly seen that rap meets this definition. Many rap songs utilise various poetic techniques and language features to capture and give a voice to an individual’s feelings. One example is the song Read All About It by Professor Green. This is an emotional song that reflects the themes of courage, acceptance and growth. Its poetic devices and language, alongside its subject matter, make Read All About It a worthy piece of literature to include in the Canon.

The Future is in Men Books, television shows, movies, poems, and songs are resources that have the ability to provide such powerful messages, that one may begin to look at things differently. There are many inspirational sources that have been passed down from generation to generation promoting acts of love and care. We hope that the inspirational messages contained in these resources will teach our youth, who are the future of our nation, the importance of human-kindness. A few examples of this would be a song known worldwide called, “We are the World”. That song was a collaboration of many great artists that was influential in bringing awareness to the importance of caring for one another and living in harmony.

Lawhead uses a rich vocabulary, similes, amplification, anaphora, and allusion to bring his writing to life as one reads through his books. Lawhead’s writing is superb.
