Many men fell for this and in my opinion she became very powerful in a sense. I believe Cathy was a very selfish character. While reading East of Eden I thought that she might have had mental problems. I was furious that she tried to kill her baby and later on lied about why say tried to do such a thing. Then when she gave birth to her twins sons, she acted as if she did not want them and I believe that Cathy was selfish was because she shot her husband in the shoulder.

Character Evaluation Brooke Torres PSY230 July 9, 2011 Linda Grant Character Evaluation One of my favorite films has always been Selena. It is a movie based on the life of a Tejano music artist. Being in a close knit family, her band, Selena Y Los Dinos, consisted of her brother, sister, husband, and three other band members. Selena Y Los Dinos was managed by her father and later became a huge success. As her career was skyrocketing, she was murdered by one of her own employees.
The Life of Aaliyah Aaliyah Dana Haughton. To many she is just a singer. To others she is known as an actress, and dancer, but to me she’s someone I admired as a young girl. Aaliyah had it all. Looks, talent, and the voice.

In Shirley Jackson’s story, the town people are solely responsible for killing Mrs. Hutchinson by voluntarily picking up stones and stoning her to death. In Martin Gansberg’s story the people in the neighborhood are involuntarily responsible for Catherine’s death. Although they did not stab her themselves, they failed to call the police in enough time to save her life. When the police questioned her neighbors about why they did not call the police sooner, they gave unacceptable
Minerva's father did something to enrage her. He cheated on her mother. When she found out she got very mad and I think she might have taken it out on Trujillo a little bit. However Minerva finally does accept what happened as irreversible. She tells her father "I know the clouds have already rained" as if to say that it happened and there's nothing anyone can do.
Before she thought that Atticus was different from the other fathers in Maycomb because he was too old and couldn’t do anything fun with them. After he killed the mad dog in one shot, Scout was proud of her father and got more influenced in him. Scout is forced to understand that Tom Robinson was being treated differently because he had colored skin. Because of that, Scout realized that people can be prejudice because her father took a case of an African American man who was innocent. It shows that Scout can actually think seriously about things when she says, “Who in this town did anything to help Tom Robinson, just who?”(215).
Macbeth seeing Banquos ghost is not his fear but his guilt over killing his best friend. With Lady Macbeths’ case she makes the crucial mistake of worrying about the future ultimately this causes her to go insane because she keeps thinking that she will be caught. However that is not the reason for her insanity, she was consumed by the guilt of forcing Macbeth to kill Duncan, she could no longer live with herself so she committed suicide to put an end to her misery. In modern society both of the misfortunes of Lady Macbeth and Macbeth can happen to anyone, why do human beings do anything to become successful even if it requires them to push others under the bus. Guilt is the number one reason for depression in America and the second highest reason that causes people to commit suicide in todays society.
