People are struggling to survive everyday because they have no food and shelter. These people may always dig through the trash to find something to eat for the day, not knowing if they will find anything. Families may always live in horrible conditions, having no other choice, because they do not have enough money. It’s extremely hard for them to find well paying jobs in these countries. For most of these people it’s nearly impossible to get out of poverty because they were born and raised in that culture, unless other people who aren’t in poverty help them out.
Environment 14 up wards At this age if a child has not been able to move away from poverty area then their life will be fighting to improve it on little money and a lot of hope At this age the lack of parents input can course problems, emotionally and they don't always understand how money works as they have always been given it. Most would rather have parents love then money. Restricted environment can stop children becoming all they can be and cause disruptive and emotional behavioural outbursts or go the other way and can close inside them
This causes many issues with people and society. There becomes an unneeded amount of people on the streets. This is an ethical problem because the people who choose to be on the streets could be off of the streets but they choose to be lazy and unmotivated although they shouldn’t be because they can relieve themselves of the predicament they are in. This is ethically wrong because people shouldn’t be homeless by choice. It’s not okay because it causes more money to be wasted towards people that shouldn’t be helped at all.
What's even worse is that the habit of long-term jail sentences in the US has completely wiped out any chance of ever getting a job again for most of these people. "If they are not educated, they don't have a choice anymore. If you can't read at a ninth grade level, you can't get out of poverty” (Payne). When the children where entering the toy store, the first thing that pops out of Sugars mouth is, “Can we steal?”(Bambara). The children would not have to steal objects if their parents had better jobs and better educated.
Think about issues that are affecting individuals, identified groups of young people and young people across the community. Concerns young people have: One of the concerns the young people have is the lack of job opportunities. They feel that once they come out of education the amount of jobs available are very limited. They feel that even though they go to college and university there are usually no jobs in the fields that they are qualified in, and are left unemployed.
(Omelas, 259). The fact these people do not know of a world outside their own is another reason they believe so strongly someone must struggle for many to prosper. “They also got along without the stock exchange, the advertisement, the secret police, and the bomb”. (Omelas, 259). The people of the village in Omelas were some who no longer knew happiness or joy which played a major role in the way their victims were made to suffer.
But these immigrant children did not get any pay, this was child labor because the under aged immigrant worker was used and did not receive pay. It was more of a two for one deal for the factory owner because small bodies were needed to fit a certain job. “They are doing away with a great deal of mule-spinning there and putting in ring-spinning…for that reason it takes a good deal of small help…they get all the small help they can to run these ring-frames.” (65). These requirements cost many immigrants available work, leaving these immigrant men without pay unable to provide for their families. In an interview Thomas O’Donnell explains “…at Fall River if a man has not got a boy to act as “back-boy” it is very hard for him to get along…in many cases discharging men in that work and put in men who have boys…and that has brought my circumstances down very much…our children are very often sickly of not having sufficient clothes, shoes, food or something” (64, 65).
It’s irrational of them to keep all of the staff when over half of the institutions populations were released just so that they can keep their jobs. I believe this is why America is in so much debt that because of greedy people not helping children and just thinking about themselves has gotten America to were they are now. Yes They have put in place new laws and reforms to help children but how much is it really helping them and how much are we not
Why do people want to come here to live illegally, from one place to the next, work in low wages, never dare to show off their face anywhere because they’re afraid that they would get caught and deport back from wherever? Why would they want to leave their country, the place where they grew up, know the language, culture, and have all their relatives there? If there isn’t anything wrong, then such thing would not have happened already. They leave their country, come to a strange land, live illegally because back home, they cannot make a living. They come here to hope for a better life, or simply just a survival chance.
However, this new system is still not working as was intended. The welfare system was originally designed to get people off the streets by offering health care, housing assistance, and assistance finding jobs. Unfortunately, the people who are unable to help themselves are no longer receiving the assistance that they need to sustain a healthy life, children are growing up in desolate homes or no home at all,
