In 1776, the United States was comprised of the 13 colonies. By 1870, the U.S. had expanded beyond the Mississippi River to the states of Minnesota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Texas, Oklahoma was still a territory. There are four Commonwealth States in which include Virginia, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Kentucky. Kentucky was originally part of Virginia. It was Kentucky county Virginia 1776. Four years later it was divided into Fayette, Jefferson, and Lincoln counties of Virginia. As we all know now Virginia was a Common wealth so in 1792 when Kentucky became the 15th state it took the Commonwealth with it.

The fourteen countries represented at the time included Austria-Hungary, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden-Norway Turkey, and the United States of America. Out of these fourteen nations, France, Germany, Great Britain, and Portugal had the most power in the conference, and controlled most of colonial Africa at the time. In the three decades after the Berlin Conference on Africa, European powers occupied and colonies areas in Africa, which later became known as the Scramble for Africa. During this period, the African leaders reacted to the Scramble for Africa in different ways including, by political or cultural behavior, fighting back or surrendering.

Hemp’s most important uses come from its stalk. The fibers that are harvested from hemp’s stalk can be used to make products such as textiles, paper, building materials, and other industrial products (Roulac 15). The leaves, seeds, cell fluid, and the whole hemp plant are also used to create a large number of other products. Hemp fiber could be used to make a large variety of papers, which would help decrease the paper industries dependency on wood.

The variety of flags is unreal from green to yellow and blue and red there was a vast variety of designs. The flag of the United States of America consists of thirteen equal horizontal stripes of red (top and bottom) interchanging with white, with a blue rectangle referred to specifically as the "union" and having fifty small, white, five-pointed stars in the union. The 50 stars on the flag represent the 50 states and the 13 stripes represent the thirteen British colonies that rebelled against the British monarchy and became the first states in the Union.

Explain in detail the organization of the Federal Reserve System. Answer: Congress created the Federal Reserve System in 1913 as the central bank and monetary authority of the United States. Unlike other countries where they have one central bank, we created a system of 12 Federal Reserve Districts. These new banks were named for the cities they are in; Federal Reserve Banks of Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Richmond, Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Dallas and San Francisco (pg 204).
