Another racial stereotype that happened in the movie is when Cameron and Christine, a black couple, are driving home from a party and a white officer pulls them over for driving “while black”. He pulls them both out of the car and searches them. Officer Ryan makes them both stand next to each other, so Cameron can watch how Officer Ryan searches his wife. Officer Ryan runs his hands up Christine’s legs and pretty much violates her. Cameron didn’t want to do anything because he

Left as just another misogynistic belief embedded in the fabric of society. This was not the case; the organisers of SlutWalk challenged him directly then challenged the entire police organisation. Now SlutWalk is challenging society’s patriarchal structure. The use of the word ‘slut’ itself challenges society’s conventions, gaining attention and turning the meaning of the word to their advantage. Slut challenges the beliefs held in association of the powerful word.

Abstract The movies Crash and To Kill a Mockingbird both have themes throughout of racial prejudice, injustice, crime and violence and poverty. While there are many things in common between the two films there are also many differences. The time periods in which the movies are set in are two totally different eras and many changes have occurred. People start to curse and get all infuriated. Also, I have seen car accidents from people just driving straight into the slow driver’s car. Safe driving rules state that the right lane is for slower moving vehicles and the left lane is the passing lane. You might think that this is just a belief and not reality but from outside research it’s awfully realistic. It’s such a problem that legislators are stepping in and trying to pass bills and laws.

The never ending cycle of the “we got each other’s back” code leads to the tension between the two groups. Whenever a Soc or a Greaser saw a member of the opposing group, they instantly resorted to physically harming him. Gangs today do that as well. If a group of Crips see a Blood all by himself, most likeley they are going to go confront him. Hinton wanted to portray how people in gangs don’t hate each other, but in reality they just don’t know each other.
This contrasts the struggles that residents of the Robert Taylor Homes or as referred to in the book as RTH had to deal with. The lack of resources that were available to RTH residents was one of the main struggles. Police are afraid to patrol the streets because they consider their area dangerous as a result of the gang. However with the amount of violence that happens in the area it is a wonder why the police are afraid of them. One of the more fascinating facts in this book is the culture of the RTH scares away the emergency response teams.
