AP WORLD HISTORY VOCABULARY Agriculture Revolution- Neolithic peoples sought to ensure themselves of more regular food supplies by encouraging the growth of edible crops and bringing wild animals into independence on human keepers. The popular term agricultural revolution is somewhat misleading. The establishment of an agricultural economy was not an even that took place at a given date but rather a process that unfolded over many countries, as human beings gradually learned how to cultivate crops and keep animals. The ruler then served as a link between heaven and earth. Monogamy- Monogamy is a form of marriage in which an individual has only one spouse during their lifetime or at any one time. In ancient India after a woman’s husband dies, she still doesn’t have any independence and is not allowed to remarry. Patriachary/patriachary systems- Patriachary is when the oldest male takes control. China, Egypt and Nubia, India, and Mesopotamia had this type of society.
