Selected Institution: Rush University Medical Center (RUMC) 1. In response to the findings in the Illinois Supreme Court Case-PROVENA COVENANT MEDICAL CENTER et al., Appellants, v. THE DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE et al., Appellees, I believe the board and leadership team of Rush University Medical Center (RUMC) should focus on the organization. Rush leaders should respond by acquiring and documenting all required documentation and information that provides proof (i.e. Form 990) that all facilities affiliated with their institution demonstrate that: * They have no capital, capital stock, or shareholders1,2,3 * They earn no profits or dividends but rather derive their funds mainly from private and public charity and holds them in trust
They typically involve a full review of all diversity and EEO program activities. Process of audits are (1) Management and Administration (2) Training and Development (3) Recruitment and Advancement (4) Federal Women’s Program (5) Hispanic Employment Program (6) People with Disabilities Employment Program (7) Special Emphasis Programs (8) Complaint Prevention. None of these methods has anything to with the people within the facilities and any type of interaction at all. According to Lake Michigan College, a diverse trained staff goes out and works on-site to assess your current strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities through a combination of focus groups, on-line survey, and review of your marketing materials and internal policies and procedures (Lake Michigan College, 2011). This method appears to be more affective as it allows an interactive approach to Onsite Audit
