Trends and Issues Paper (Benchmark Assessment) Health care is a fast growing industry locally and globally. In conjunction with the fact that there are set of policies, rules and regulations that everyone has to understand, need to obey and implement whether it be locally or globally. This paper will discuss more about the global approach of health care delivery globally and multinational organizations. “Benchmarking is a process of comparison between the performances characteristics of separate, often competing organizations intended to enable each participant to improve to its own performance in the marketplace.” (Medical Bulleting, 2007, Vol.12 No.2). This requires good planning and continuously improving the process among employees to implement their programs in order to meet the requirements to the customers and to stay above other competitors. Since health care is one of the fastest growing industry not just locally but globally multinational organizations is also booming among other countries. In the military, they serve globally and every military installations medical facilities and staff were also present. The purpose of serving globally is to bring help and reach out to the people in need. They make sure health care needs is readily available at all times for all military members, dependents and all the workers eligible for care is being met. Multinational organizations operated by international corporations played a very important role in the event that a health care facility/organization served globally. In the United States, there is this so-called Integrated Health Care Delivery System. This is a system of healthcare services that make up the components of the network. The system should have at least one system wide managed care entity and a minimum of three components of care which includes acute care hospital, a physician component, and one
