To My Mom

Introduction- Good evening, now I would like to share with all of you the blessing that I have been so grateful to receive in my life, I. My mom is the type of person that would put other’s needs first. A. She always lent out a helping hand. 1. My mom would help people regardless if it was serious or not. 2. No matter how much time it took out of her day, my mom was there even if it took all night. 3. But that’s just who she was and to be honest, I have never met anyone with such a heart of gold. II. The best thing about my mom is her personality. A. She is the biggest dork. 1. My mom would bring up the random things and try to be funny and even if it didn’t make sense to everyone else, as long as it made sense to her then that’s all that mattered. 2. Whenever a song that she liked came on the radio, my mom would start dancing and singing, moving the steering wheel from the left and to the right, making the car swerves side to side. 3. And there have been a lot of times were people have stared. B. Besides my mom’s weird sense of humor, her characteristics is something I always admired. She is kind, thoughtful, and a strong woman. 1. Growing up we didn’t have a lot of money. 2. But no despite the circumstances there was always a turkey on Thanksgiving, presents on Christmas, and a birthday cake every year. 3. My mom holds her head and never allowed anyone doubt her capabilities on being a good mother. C. All of my mom’s hard work and determination got our family to where it is now. 1. She did her best and tried to give me and my siblings’ opportunities that she never had. 2. And although I never got to see my mom all the time because she was at work. 3. I knew that was for us, to put food on the table and clothes on our backs. III. Throughout my life, my mom has taught me
