First I will define research as the dedicated study that is done for the purpose of ascertaining and explaining knowledge that is new and original. This is according to Merriam Webster dictionary. I concur with Griffith that there is no hope of doing perfect research. If knowledge was perfect, knowledge will have several limitations, and we would have extremely limited opportunities for improvement. Life would have more challenges than ever because we will be backward because of the lack of innovation. An example to illustrate this would be a research that I performed a few weeks ago. The research was about organization theory. According to Funk and Wagnalls, the term theory means a strategy that exists in the mind and can be verified using experiments or observations. Daft, 2004 defines organization as a social unit that is goal centered and it is in the form of a structure. By so doing, problems can be identified and solved which eventually leads to increased productivity and efficiency. According to Kast and Rosenzweig, 1970, organization theory is a body of knowledge that stems from a field of study that can be defined and expressed from an organization’s perspective. It is also called organization science or organization study. If the research done by Kathryn was a perfect one, there would be no need for Kast and Rosenzweig to perform another research. This further proves Griffith's statement that doing perfect research has no hope (Griffith, 1988, p.97). Another example that further illustrates the statement "that there is no hope of doing perfect research" is a research about ageing
