The Red Hyde Lon Abercrumbie III DeVry University Professor Gottschalk LTRE-421 8/30/2015 Let’s begin discussing the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and why this case was so amazing. Both Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Utterson resided in London during 1886, which just so happened to be during the Victoria era. The information that Mr. Utterson stumbles upon is o dark and twisted that this story unfortunately ends in a case of misfortune. Now the story that many people really don’t know too much about, The Red Convertible, is also a story that ends in misfortune as well. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dr. Jekyll’s lawyer Mr. Utterson finds out that Dr. Jekyll is leaving his entire property to a mysterious person named Mr. Hyde. In the time that Mr. Utterson has known Dr. Jekyll, he has never heard of a Mr. Hyde. This prompts Mr. Utterson to be on the defense and become super suspicious and begin snooping around, but he was unable to find anything. Of course Dr. Jekyll is not giving him any warm leads which is concerning him even more. I’d also like to mention that slew of events began taking place in the village that had ties to Mr. Hyde so that made Mr. Utterson want to find this Mr. Hyde person even more. Mr. Utterson finally gets his wish and stumbles upon Mr. Hyde, but upon meeting him it raised even more questions. The person that his close friend Dr. Jekyll is leaving his estate to is nothing but pure evil and he can’t understand why he would do such a thing. Unfortunately Mr. Utterson finds out that Dr. Jekyll has multiple personalities, and that he is portraying himself as having an evil twin named Mr. Hyde. Apparently, after mixing and matching different formulas and potions, he put together a concoction that allows him to become Mr. Hyde. Unfortunately Mr. Hyde has a mind of his own and committed murders that involved a politician and a young girl. All of this information came to life when Mr. Utterson received a revealing letter with instruction to only open if Dr. Jekyll passed. Apparently Mr. Hyde was the more dominant…show more content…
Sometimes it can cause a person to lose their sense of purpose in this world and forgetting that God put us all here for a reason. Some people also tend to believe that if you don’t fit in with society that you are not “normal”, the crazy thing is some people are built to not fit in, and we as people have to learn to accept that. Both of these stories ended in misfortune. The society that surrounds you can cause you to blind yourself with the need to fit in which can and will cause an identity issue, but we have to figure is do we have more Evil in us than
