He clearly had the intention not to seriously hurt Bob, but to save Ponyboy. If it wasn’t for Johnny it would have been Ponyboy (the innocent one) the one who died, not Bob, the one who started the brawl in the first place. In a matter of fact, the event of Johnny and Ponyboy being attacked by a couple of Socs isn’t unusual at all. The only difference between what happened that night and the usual Soc jumping a Greaser is that they were drunk, and took it too far. Furthermore, Johnny never knew Bob was going to die.
He is the star of the wrestling team, he is one of the best looking guys in school, and has way too many friends. In the movie he begins to realize he looks like a big jerk and starts to not care as much about what his father says. By the end of the movie he begins to date the ‘basket case’ and no longer cares of his father’s approval. The Criminal- John Bender is what some people might call a criminal. He does drugs, he steals, and he always lands himself in Saturday detention.
400 years age, killing was a part of everyday, natural life. The people of these times believed that to have your father be murdered and runaway and not do anything to find out who has killed your father, the King of Scotland, was very cowardly. The audience was expecting Malcolm to become King of Scotland and then find out who murdered his father. Then he would have them either killed or throw in prison. This did not happen so the audience must think Malcolm and Donalbain are
He fights the officers who try to arrest him but is soon handcuffed and taken away, most likely to his death. Arvid is also very passionate about being a swing kid as he plays music produced by Jews even though it is illegal where he lives. He displays his pride when he is asked to play a German song by a Nazi official but refuses because he is not proud of the prejudice acts his country is taking part in. Arvid realizes that the pain and suffering in Germany won't stop but increase and decides to commit suicide. He dies a proud musician and a loyal swing kid.
First, in various stories Odysseus is very contradicting to himself because he is only hero-like some of the time. When he and his men were raiding the Cyclops’ cave they could have left before the Cyclops got there and they could have avoided a lot of trouble. But Odysseus wanted to be a hero and wanted to stay and fight the Cyclops. This was a very selfish move of him and ended up being the wrong decision because it cost him a few of his best men. Later when he redeems himself he tells the Cyclops his name is nobody and gets him drunk.
John Dillinger, was born on June 22, 1903 and like any other kid that grew up in a big city like Indianapolis he sought potential and one way Dillinger knew how to get things was by stealing. This man owns some of the greatest robberies that have ever happened. On top of that John Dillinger was nearly invincible, this man could escape almost any situation you put him until he was killed. He was actually well liked by the people because many people compared him to the folktale Robin Hood. By the age of ten he and his buddies were stealing coal they had “pinched” from the Pennsylvania Railroad gondolas.
Lil Wayne raps about the opposite that the Hip Hop pioneers would rap about in the 1990’s. Lil Wayne would promote his affiliation in the Bloods gang. Lil Wayne would also show his drug addiction to sizzurp, some kind of drink that contains a lot of chemicals that has already killed a hip hop pioneer Pimp C. Most of the time Lil Wayne shows up to an event or would record a song drunk or high creating his lyrics not understandable and his appearance to all of his anti-fans incredibly
In the book a Separate Peace, I think that the title stands for freedom or an outcast cause of the way that the war does not seem to affect Devon like it affects other places in America. The war does not seem to touch Devon or the kids until Leper goes crazy after enlisting, and Finny dies. But before that Gene and Finny don't believe that the war is real they think that it is fake and just a way to get money. So A Separate Peace is meant to mean that Devon is like in the shadows of the war, so while the kids are in Devon they don't feel any sense of the war. It also makes the war seem so easy, but as we find out after Leper goes AWALL Gene and Finny actually finds out that the war is real.
The gang is the only family he has. Terry is not confident, as his body language displays rounded shoulders and hands in pockets. When Joey is crucified he is upset and feels that the gang mislead him, “I thought they was just gunna rough him up a little but’ he said with his had over his heart, whilst showing signs of guilt. “He could sing but he couldn’t fly” a gang member said, they all laughed as if the tragedy meant nothing to them. When he meets Edie he is obviously attracted to her, the more time he spends with her you see his loving, protective side.
Fahrenheit 51; Is Montag a Hero? Some people have confusion on whether Guy Montag, the main character in Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, could be considered to be a heroic figure in the book. A hero is a person that makes the right decisions and does things for the good of others. Guy Montag didn’t make many great decisions and often did things for himself. If he was a good person from the start he wouldn’t have become a fireman in the first place, when his curiosity built on books he was becoming greedy for the knowledge, and finally, he killed his chief because of emotions.
