The adventure began in 1970 when a British journalist teamed up with Acar to determine if one of the best museums in the world had in fact, knowingly purchased looted antiquities. The alleged theft took place in a region in southwestern Turkey called Usak. The looters took “363 objects, including gold and silver vessels and jewelry, a pair of marble sphinxes, and some pieces of wall painting”. Once the Turkish authorities had determined the objects as illicit, they filled a lawsuit in Manhattan. After being humiliated by nationwide and worldwide newspapers, in September 1993, the Metropolitan Museum of Art issued an apology and sent back the Lydian treasures to Turkey.

Through the eyes of Nick Carraway, Fitzgerald creates a third party view of the struggles between New Money and Old Money. In The Great Gatsby, Nick recalls the events that led up to the death of his friend, James Gatz, known by the alias Jay Gatsby. Nick is a middle class man, served in the war, and is trying to start selling bonds and stocks. He is the cousin of Daisy Buchanan, a Old Money woman, with a New Money personality.

When Filt brought the card to some sport-card grading services, they all said the card had been refinished and trimmed. Strek tricked Filt into buying this card, but it was not an original card; this was clearly a fraud. The related issue that I noticed about this case and my project court case was the facts show that the defendant, Win Van Lines, Inc. lost or stole client’s expensive properties, but it refused to accept the fault. In both these cases, the defendant lost because they had committed fraud and crime. I agreed with the court’s decision that the defendants of both these cases should pay the plaintiff the exact amount of what they had lost.
Many people question why it is that Edward Snowden leaked the documents showing what the NSA was doing. In the article “The Geeks who Leak” MichaelKelley Scherer quotes Edward Snowden saying “The public needs to decide whether these programs and policies are right or wrong". Edward Snowden feels that we should have a right to say whether what the NSA and Government does it right or wrong and whether we want hem to interfere in our personal lives when I comes so social media or not. He has been charged with theft of government property, unauthorized communication of national defense information and willful communication of classified communications intelligence information to an unauthorized person. Two of these three charges violates the Espionage act of 1917 which was intended to criminalize individuals who engaged in spying.
