The CLASS ROOM ENVIRONMENT What is my goal? My goal is to provide a classroom environment that is physically, technologically, intellectually and personally appealing. Why is this goal important to me and my students? This goal is important to me and my students because the classroom environment that includes these three aspects is modern with technology, fair, safe and well organized and will foster good teaching and learning habits while students interact among each other, explore and communicate individually and in groups utilizing the resources that are applicable to their own learning style. This way students would retain what they learn, apply the concepts to situations where relevant, become good problem solvers and respect their peers opinions in future discussions. The learning environment to me will dictate how well or how poorly a student performs therefore having a classroom that encourages social interaction via grouping may also motivate constructive learning. Remember the classroom is seen to students as their home during school hours and it being safe, fair and well organised shall develop an atmosphere of comfort and I believe a comfortable child is a child who shall be willing to express themselves. In order to have an effective teaching learning process , establish a positive classroom environment because at the end iof the day , this is what we should wish to achieve. According to Lang and Evans (2006) A teacher must build a climate that encourages learning. This involves the physical facilities and organization of the classroom, interpersonal communications, and the classroom management techniques used. The combination of these elements creates an environment in which students are motivated and encouraged to learn (p.173). Additionally, Moore (2007) suggested that “Teachers should create a climate at the beginning of the year where
