Everlasting Love “Choose this day whom you will serve...” The Bronze Bow is set in Roman-occupied Israel during the time of Jesus. Eighteen-year-old Daniel bar Jamin is living in the hills above Galilee when he receives a message about his dying grandmother. Because of this unfortunate message, Daniel returns to the village. At the young age of eight, Daniel witnessed the crucifixion of his father by the Romans. He has hatred against the Romans that governs his entire life. There is a knowledgeable carpenter named Jesus who often spoke to large crowds and after seeing him, Daniel was unsure who he should follow. Jesus and love or Rosh and war. Both leaders seemed reasonable, but which would lead Daniel to live a joyful and everlasting life? If Daniel were to follow Rosh, his whole life would have to do with fighting and he could never have love. On the other hand, if Jesus were his leader he would never earn his vengeance against the Romans. The power source for Rosh is weapons and Jesus himself is the ultimate power source for his followers. Daniel had to decide what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. If he were to follow Rosh he would need to give up all chances of love and if he were to follow Jesus he would need to give up his hate and vengeance.
