Assignment 2 – Understanding Innovation and Change in an Organisation AC1.1 Explain the benefits of innovation and change for the organisation Change and Innovation are as equally important in creating and sustaining the growth of a business through organisational development. If planned and implemented well both could lead to a total change not just for the profit success of the organisation but can also have a positive impact on employee engagement. Innovation in the workplace fostered by teamwork and employee involvement in decision-making and reengineering business processes can boost morale and award incentives such as bonus payments. The purpose of organisational development is to enable an organization to better respond and adapt to industry/market changes and technological advances. The absence of both innovation and change in an organisations development can be the difference between being a leader in their field of business, failure to keep up with competitors, create stagnation or cause decline in their existing success.

A procedure can be build to help the managers and consultant at the customer interface achieve new insights into the customer’s requirements and favorites. Lastly, customer-focused strategy is to enter industry that has strong strategic relations to the core adjoining industries. This is a mainly tempting alternative when the core industry is moving toward its operating effectively, produce surplus cash for reinvestment and full capabilities. Investors investing in an IPO are aware that it takes time to see a solid return/profit when a company is expanding into new ventures and that risks are involved. Most importantly, investors know that a risk has to be taken for continued growth and for the health of the company. CanGo needs to offer an IPO so that they have the funding to expand and grow. Issue 4 Hidden costs The team at CanGo hasn’t even considered what the hidden costs to the business might be if they branch out into the new projects they are currently exploring. They are not adding additional staff, equipment, or software so spreading the resources out could cause the quality of the existing products to suffer.
