Though too young to play with other children, he loves to see other children play, and shows a liking to play with them. Game of peekaboo helps baby to know that the mother will be back even if separated for a brief time. Tickling the baby, develops a sense of humour and he learns to differentiate between serious human interactions and playful ones. A feeling of empathy develops. E1- Describe the development of children in a selected age range and in TWO (2) areas of development The age group I have selected to describe is language development and social emotional development in the age group 3 to 5 years. Social and Emotional development for children aged three to five is very important for every child’s development in these are being met at this time of life as this is when they start to become aware of who they call their friends and who is there all the time and who is not. They will live with anger and could become much more rebellious, causing them to make poor judgments or decisions. Those poor choices in life could alter their futures. People very often change their attitudes and behaviors to conform to the attitudes and behaviors of people they are around. One of the reasons for this conformity of attitude and behavior change is that we are highly concerned with what others think of us. Conforming to the normality of others is our normal human attempt to obtain information we do not have so we in essence are relying on that normality to be a reasonable strategy especially when we are uncertain about how we should be acting. The unfortunate aspect to this is we more often than not usually are misinterpreting how the typical person acts in certain situations, which in the end will contribute to other problems within our own behavior. As humans we possess an integral predisposition to imitate the actions of our family, and friends that are around us.

This is thus where parenting skills as well as the environment

After spanking children, they will stop what they are doing at the time and will immediately obey their authority. However, a short time later the children will forget about their misbehavior, but the feeling of the abuse will still remain in their recollection. Psychological control is another way parents can punish their child. This method “uses guilt and the child’s gratitude toward the parent”(307). When this is being portrayed, parents may use signs of disappointment and sadness to control the child’s behavior, causing them feel guilt-ridden and upset for what they did.
So basically, children like to imitate the way adults talk and communicate with people. Sometimes children like to imitate bad words or cursing words and say it out loud to random people which are not proper to say so. In
