For 15 years, people around the world have followed Jared Fogle through his weight loss journey. Why, you may be asking? It is as simple as this: The Subway Diet. Does that sound familiar? That is right; Jared Fogle is the Subway diet representative that lost 245 pounds by exercise, and eating subs from Subway. Is this possible; are Subway’s sandwiches healthy enough, with the help of exercise for an individual to lose weight? I want to share with you the nutritional information of not only items from Subway’s menu, but from Quizno’s menu as well, so you can determine for yourself if the “Subway Diet” is a diet that will work for you, or if it is a ridiculous notion, brought on to boost Subway’s sales. Subway has 24 different sandwiches on their menu, in Jared Fogles journey; he had three favorite subs, Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki, Veggie Delite, and Turkey Breast. However, I have chosen not to use either one of these three, instead, I have chosen another sandwich on Subways menu, which to me, is more popular to the normal person, Meatball Marinara. For a classic 6-Inch (303 grams), Meatball Marinara, the traditional ingredients are (Bread) 9-Grain Wheat, (Cheese) None, (Veggies) Cucumbers, Green Peppers, Lettuce, Red Onions, and Tomato’s, (Sauces) None, (Extras) None. For a 6-inch Meatball Marinara, an individual will consume 480 calories, 160 of which is from fat, 30 milligrams of cholesterol, 59 grams of carbohydrates, and the amount of sugar, an individual will consume with a 6-inch Meatball sandwich is 12
