I will be a nurse; I will be taking care of people and helping them with their physical and emotional need and I will make them feel as much comfortable as possible. For me nursing is life, nursing is education, nursing is caring for people and understanding what patient is in need for; that is how I would define nursing. My main goal in this point of life is to finish my nursing education and become a good nurse. I am highly inspired by the nurses and their beliefs and the way of communication with patient here. My values will always consider patient first, for me patient’s need and interest is always my first priority, therefor altruism is greatest value for me as a part of nursing.
Why I Chose Nursing Being a nurse is a very influential and rewarding profession. Nurses care for people through illness, injury, pain, loss, dying, grieving, birth, growth, aging and health. They not only care for people through illness, but they also promote health, prevent diseases and educate the public. We all know that nursing is a field that is concerned with helping people, yet I believe that in becoming a nurse, a person needs more than that desire to succeed. It is essential for a nurse to be open, strong, determined, thoughtful and caring.
My Road to Professional Nursing U of M Flint For as long as I can remember the world of medicine has been part of my life. This, along with a calling from God, is what I believe led me to become a professional nurse. As a young child I remember my father telling us about the ambulance runs and fires he was a part of as a firefighter/EMT/paramedic. I loved these discussions. I especially loved the look my dad would have on his face when he shared about how they were able to save a life, put out a fire, or be a comfort to the person injured or the family members watching and waiting.
Maghiro Jacinta Personal Philosophy of Nursing This is a philosophy of nursing that reflects the beliefs and values of Jacinta Maghiro. Today’s date is May 18, 2015 I chose nursing as my profession because I like to help people in need and nursing is about helping and caring for people who are in need. My passion for nursing began after the delivery of my last child. I was very sick and helpless but the way the nurses cared for me gave me hope and strength to go on. I felt that I could give help in return to those individuals who needed help and had no one to care for them at desperate times when they were sick.
Becoming a nurse will make each day a great difference, not only for me, but for the patients I will be taking care of. I know I can help others by providing them with love, care, and ensuring them I will never give up on them. Once I am able to progress in my major and earn my college degree in nursing, it will not only make me a better person, but enable me to reach out to others that are in great need of
