ST.JOHN KL state competition report After I joined st.john, I have learned many things like how to bandage, how to do assessment, how to do kekanan lurus. I am greatful that I joined st.john. One day, Mr.Siaw, our teacher advisor came to me and told me that our division is joining the state competition. Later, he told me that I am chosen to represent our division to join the competition. I am shocked because I am not really good in first-aid. Li Shen, Mun Yee, Yee Von and Su Fern were also chosen to represent our division to join the competition. On the first training, Mr.Yip trained us on how to assess a casualty, how to the drill formation works and briefed us about the competition. The competition consist of three categories which are uniform checking and foot drill, short case, home nursing( for girls) and long case (for boys).Later, he showed us how the drill formation works. After that he taught us how to assess a casualty. On the next training, there was no trainer on that day because mr.Yip was busy on his work. We started to train our drill formation. The ACs started to train first. They tried and tried to make it nice and tidy, but it ended up very messy. Later, is our turn to train. We stand in line and started our practice. We did it very messy and asked to do again and again by MS. Gloria. After a few trainings, Miring and Pei Kit joined our trainer list. Mr. Ng normally train the boy and Pei Kit normally train the girls. After a few training, MR.Yip’s friend Yuen YI started to train us on home nursing. Before the training, we don’t know anything about home nursing. According to Yuen Yi, we need to keep smiling and keep talking to the patient. While we were training home nursing, the ACs was training on how to remove a helmet when the casualty has spinal injuries. On a training where we chose to held in the st.
