Discuss both the positive and negative impact of participating in different types of physical activity on the joints and muscles of the body Any physical activity can have a positive effect on our joints and muscles, however if you over train you can damage joints and muscles and this would be negative impact. The more exercise we do, the better condition our joints and muscles are in, but too much exercise can cause wear on the joints and cartilage making them weak and brittle. Exercise makes our bones and joints easier to use, as long as the exercise is with moderation. Bones also become more efficient in movement because of exercise. Joints may be improved by exercise as they respond to mechanical stresses.
Once one has done this, it is easy to tell that steroids shouldn’t be legalized. While the thought of stronger, faster, and more elite athletes does spike ones interest, the negative effects seem to outweigh the positives. When one takes into consideration how easily influenced the youth of America is by professional athletes, it is undeniable that teens will most likely begin using steroids to become more like the players they idolize. Steroid use in teens has been proven to cause addiction and even suicide and that seems like a rather large price to pay just to increase athletic performance. Aside from the negative influence, the negative health effects that come along with steroids can be dreadful.
This personality trait would affect sporting performance if the performer was performing in a team game, the lack of confidence may put them off their game or they may not even get involved. Extroverts on the other hand tend to be confident and are most often found within team games, this trait can also lead to hot headedness and therefore deteriorate their performance in sport as they are no longer concentrated on the task at hand. This can also be said when they have to partake in a sport that involves small muscle movements (as extroverts tend to sway towards the use of large muscle movements) if they’re unable to perform the task at hand they may become aggressive and thus their performance will decrease. One further trait Eysenck indentified was a stable performer; a stable performer tends to be more laid back and has an even temper. In a performance situation this could lead to either laziness or complacency, with their mind wandering off task.
So therefore they are more likely to be very destructor because they know the team needs them and they can do anything they want and get away with it because they feel like they are “superstar”. Some teens who excel in sports and become popular may feel they are above the rules or their peers. These teens are in danger of self-destructing or causing damage to those around them. ( Bass 6). Some people, for these reasons, insist that sport is not the solution for getting out of trouble.
The gaming industry evolves and becomes an aspect of what the world represents. Today, gaming is not only for entertainment purposes, but also a stimulator, an educational tool, a messenger. Grand Theft Auto IV is one of the games that most critics criticized because of many representations in some aspects – violence, racism, crime, poverty, etc. The game becomes a tool to give people an idea that materialism sometimes affects a person’s life. Lots of problems occur in the society which is closely related to the game itself, and the game emphasized these issues.
The way the SOX impacts the event industry is how industry professionals keep up with documentation of deals and agreements.it also affected us financially because of budgets cuts, correlating with the act. The group in our industry that would be affected the most would be non-profit groups because the documentation of the business between them and the client would be harder to keep track
According the principles of operant conditioning, we are likely to repeat behaviours that produce a desirable outcome and avoid behaviours that do not. The theory suggests, therefore, that we enter into relationships because the person is directly associated with positive reinforcement, which makes them more attractive. As well as liking someone we share a pleasant experience, we also like people who are associated with pleasant events. If we meet someone when we are feeling happy we are more likely to like them then if we were in a negative mood state. In this way a previous neutral stimuli can become positively valued because of their association with a pleasant event (i.e.
To work, the extrapyramidal system centers on the modulation and regulation of anterior horn cells. *NOTE CARD*-- The Extrapyramidal system is important and vital for us to have because it maintains equilibrium, coordination, posture, muscle tone and our reflexes. In order to be able to move our brain sends neural impulses to our muscles to get a certain muscle or several to move. However, if the system doesn't work right it can lead to a number of disabilities and diseases. Next, I have several examples of disabilities that were most noticeable in our lives today.
Gambling Gambling is an issue that gains lots of attention because of the controversy surrounding it. There are supporters for and again this multi-billion-dollar industry. Gambling seems like abnormal part of society for many, but others it is viewed as a destructive force ruining a person and their relationships. Since we live in a liberal society we should be able to spend or wealth and time however we want. However, there exist different types of gambling.
In recent years there has been a great deal of debate about the benefits and costs of legalized gambling. The gambling industry argues that its product is simply a form of entertainment, like going to movies and football games; consumers are willing to pay a price for entertainment. But many researchers argue that gambling is fundamentally different from other forms of entertainment either because gambling, unlike movies and football games, can lead to addiction. For many, gambling is a manageable and socially acceptable activity. However, for some people, gambling develops into a serious problem with negative effects on health.
