English Research Paper “Should climate change be seen as an immediate concern, a distant threat to life on earth or as no clearly discernable threat?” When it comes to the issue of climate change there are many sub topics that come into play. Its concept is like a food chain. There’s some sort of energy source at the top of the food chain, followed by many semi consumers throughout the middle of the food chain, and lastly, at the bottom of the food chain is the “big” consumer who controls all other areas of the food chain. The terms are as follows: the Primary Producers The Consumers The Secondary Consumers Territory Consumers. In this food chain of climate change, the major sub category is the constant temperatures change. It begins from Global Warming, which is a result of pollution. Where is all this pollution coming from? The answer is the human race. Driving cars that release off fumes, the burning of coal, and fossil fuels, people who don’t recycle. Everything we do in the world has a consequence. Each and every human has an ecological footprint, which he/she leaves on this planet. Their affect continues through their whole lifetime. As Williams E. Rees states in his book “Our Ecological Footprint”. This is shown in the Climate Change view because our pollution results in temperatures rising. Due to this increase of temperatures the Arctic sea ice is melting, glaciers are retreating and sea levels are rising. At the top of the food chain are the producers. In society’s case the producers are the natural resources. The humans then gather these resources, making them into something we can consume and/or use for the use in our everyday lives. For example the burning of coal is used for energy. This is the reason we are so privileged with all these necessities that in the past for someone to have light needed some superficial power. The problem with
