This conclusion led to Campbell’s change in cultural, racial, and religious ideas. After Jonathan Daniel was murdered, Campbell reflects on what his ministry was: “twenty years of ministry which had become, without my realizing it, a ministry of liberal sophistication…an attempted negation of Jesus” (Campbell). Campbell understands how he must now minister to both his friend as well as his enemy. As a worshiper of God he must treat everyone equally. This even extends to the marriage of his daughter to Gerald Croft, suitably the son of another successful business owner. Obviously Mr Birling believes that Gerald Croft is an ideal husband for his daughter, not because he loves her (in fact he later shows the opposite), but because Croft's business connections complements Mr Birling's business. This is shown immediately when Arthur Birling states, 'You'll be marrying at a very good time.'

A man that was appointed as Treasury Secretary under the Bush administration at a time in The United States recent history that will forever be known as The Great Recession. Henry Paulson was able to achieve two extraordinary things with Congress, the conservatorship of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac and the Troubled Asset Relief Program (Tarp). These plans of action to help the failing economy by Henry Paulson were not considered lightly, he genuinely tried to come up with solutions with American’s economy as a priority. Henry Paulson was brought up by a father who taught him the value of work and the rewards of a job well done.
Amir finally understands this at the end. At the beginning Amir couldn’t be happier with a rich dad, nice house and everything he could ever ask for. He was a spoiled kid. When Sohrab came into the story, and Amir finally became a father he started to realize that it was all him now, he was in charge and Amir showed that he really cared for Sohrab. “Do you want me to run that kite for you?” Amir was doing anything for Sohrab, he cared so much for this little boy and he finally realized that he had to live for someone else.

This also shows that no matter how bad the background, the past of she/ he is, but by the hard efforts and hardworking, can become successful in life. Gatsby in the novel is a great example.
