I picked this book since Netanyahu covers a very well detailed historical background about the origins of the Spanish inquisition; which provides the main sources of my first point of the essay. Another source cited is the “The Spanish Inquisition, a History” by Joseph Perez and translated by Janet Lloyd, published in 2005. The information obtain out this book refers to the specific groups who were mostly affected within inquisitorial Spain, such groups were the Jews, and the Muslims, etc, who were removed from the Spaniard society by the Catholics Kings and the pope of that time. My second point of this essay is based on these ethnic groups. An additional source that I chose for my analysis was the “The Spanish Inquisition and the Inquisitorial Mind” by Angel Alcala.
Lieutenant Nun Analysis Mike Albrecht 09/11/12 History 162 Ms. Bravo The book “Lieutenant Nun” is interesting, almost unbelievable on how it plays out. The author proves that people had chances to start fresh or find other opportunities; whether it was traveling to another country or fleeing because of being wanted by the law. How she travels all around without being caught is beyond me. However, the book proves to show some historical facts and importance because it explains the Spanish expedition throughout South America, how men and women were treated differently within Spain laws, and the importance of religion to the Spaniards. In 1492, Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas on a voyage sponsored by the Spanish crown, opening the door to colonization in the area.

The Spanish were the first to arrive to the Western Hemisphere. After Columbus had arrived back in Spain, many of the other countries desired to go to the New World. The Spanish were ruthless in the colonization of the Americas. The French were not as ruthless.
Genre research History The typical content of a history play would involve specific content in regards to what period of time in which the play is set. Shakespeare for example wrote many historical plays based on the lives of English kings. Shakespeare lived under the reign of Queen Elizabeth I so his plays are often regarded as Tudor propaganda because they often celebrate the founders of the Tudors. One of Shakespeare’s many historical plays was All is True, based on the life of Henry VIII of England. The play takes us through Henry’s life from his divorce of Katherine of Aragon to his marriage to Anne Boleyn.

In what ways is your appreciation of both texts enhanced by a comparative study of ambition on Frankenstein and Blade runner? Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and Ridley Scott's Bladerunner both project dystopian images of society and morality, propelled by the main characters' ambition and egotism. It is through this that an audience’s appreciation for texts is enhanced. These complex texts can be seen as a pair that differs in context, seeing as they are separated through time. Frankenstein driven by romantic imagery and set in historic context, that analysis the European divide in society perpetuated by superficiality.
He uses numerous words to express ideas and emotions instead of quickly being straight forward and conclusive. He uses diction in almost every sentence to boost our intellect; make it seem more real. In the passage Hawthorne writes “Although she hid the secret from herself, and grew pale whenever it struggled out of her heart, like a serpent from its hole,” instead of simply writing a conclusive passage such as “She hid the secret from her mind and grew sick to herself whenever she thought of her committed sin.” Hawthorne also uses devices such as syntax in his writing of The Scarlet Letter; his sentence structure is often very weighty. Hawthorne’s paragraph includes one-two drawn out sentences. With an abundance of asides, which the whole passage is, and bits of detail that create and amazingly complex set of ideas, Hawthorne manages to successfully conjure his image of Puritan society and how they treat Hester.
