MOVIE REVIEW – INTERPERSONNAL COMMUNICATION I chose to do my paper on the movie “Remember the Titans”. This movie is one of my favorite movies. Remember the Titans is not just a story about high school football. It’s a story based on real life events that shows how people must overcome their difficulties and cooperate with one another in order to achieve all that they want. Remember the Titans is the story of a high school football team in the 70's as the black schools and the white schools are integrated.
After high school he went on to play basketball and football at the University Of Southern California (USC) where he also received his Masters and Bachelors in Mathematics and Secondary Education. After finishing College he moved back to Moreno Valley where he fell in love with Cynthia Wilson. They are now happily married with two very handsome sons Michael Jr. and Christian Browner. He later attended Riverside Community College where he received his Associates in Business Administrations, Humanities, Music Technology, Associates of Arts, and Vocational Education. He is very interested in the Educational Field and later on he wants to start into Law School.
When I was playing high school football I would watch Ray Lewis on Television to learn from him. I played linebacker and wanted to learn from the best. He is getting older now but still plays with the fire he did when he was a rookie in the league. He is well prepared each and every game. His coaches can trust him to lead his team and trust him to keep them in their place when they step out of line.
Until there is a playoff structure, the anticipation of the top 25 every year will keep me running wild with emotions of anger and thrills. Sometimes the system gets it right sometimes they get it wrong, but they have always been consistent. For me, I believe the Bowl Championship Series has been, and will always be, the best solution for college football. Keep it in perspective; college football is a treat not a priority. As far as a true national champion, as fans argue for, we have it every year, and I am content with the BCS selection show.
His favorite team was the Cincinnati Bengals because of quarterback Carson Palmer. Andrew was the star quarterback of his high school team. During his freshman and sophomore seasons he was the star on the varsity team. It was then when injuries started to plague him. The game he always loved was about to be taken away from him.
Higher Learning The movie that I decide to watch for my Artistic paper is Higher Learning. John Singleton who has written and directed movies that are similar to Higher Learning like Poetic Justice and Boyz In the Hood(Higher Learning n.d.) did a wonderful job depicting the different struggles in college in that time. This movie takes a look at a diverse university and the issues that they might have. By the end of the movie, after all the drama messages are learned and issues have been brought to the table. This movie features many good actors that portray the issues of that time very well.
The biggest affect that it has on the group is slowing down the amount of work that was getting completed. If I have to repeat myself or wait longer than excepted because the other team members are getting upset with me, I cannot reach the full potential for that day. The other team members are starting to notice that I do not mean to be disrespectful, I just want to get the job done a efficiently as possible. The other
I have realized that people can come and go out of my life as they please, but it’s the people that stay that truly impact me. If I weren’t as lucky to have the people I have in my life at the moment I don’t know where I would be
Before the spotlight, John Wooden began teaching at the high school level. He was also a lieutenant during World War II. After the war Wooden coached at Indiana State University before taking the head coaching job at UCLA.”Coaching at UCLA is what really made John Wooden a lasting fame”, says former player Bill Walton at the funeral of John Wooden.”Success is a peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of being”. Back when John graduated grammar school his father placed upon him a seven point creed. Be true to yourself, help others, drink deeply from good books, build a shelter against a rainy day, pray for guidance and give thanks for your blessings each day.
