Over 6,000 lives, most of them American, have been lost because of his actions. Many Muslims have now been given a stereo type of being “violent terrorists,” just because of the alacrities of a handful of extremists. Due to bin Laden’s interfering with the United States, they abortively invaded Afghanistan, punching a dent in President Bush’s presidency, and throwing the economy into turmoil. Any hope of returning to the former lifestyle that Americans had once enjoyed has been long dissipated. Al-Qaeda, the terrorist group that he founded in the early 1980’s, has been encouraging other minor terrorists to take action, making the world an over-all more dangerous place to live.
9/11 2001 affected Americans because it was is the most tragic day in American history. Members of Al Qaudea, hijacked American Air Line’s airplanes, and crashed them into many buildings such as the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and were possibly going toward the White House. September 11 showed America that we’re not invincible and we need to expect the unexpected, to prepare for the future, and to be ready for anything. Also, fire fighters lost their lives do to the terrorist attack by saving others. Finally, it helped Americans come together and realize that every person in America was affected by the attack.

The third plane hit the western side of the Pentagon, and the fourth plane was targeted at the U.S. capitol, but it crashed into a nearby field. One reason for the attack was because of the U.S. foreign policy, Osama didn’t like how the U.S. support Israel. He thought that the U.S. foreign policy oppressed and killed Muslims. After the terrorist attack on September 11, many actions were made after this incident, like the Department of Homeland Security, the Patriot Act, and the Transportation Security Administration. First, the
It went down as an unforgettable day of infamy – the start of the war on terrorism began on September 11, 2001. Terrorists associated with the Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. As the incident occurred, it was televised; millions of Americans watched in horror as two hijacked planes crashed one after the other into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Immediately following the attacks, various theories surfaced and many people began to label the attacks as a delicately orchestrated conspiracy. One such theorist, David Ray Griffin, wrote an essay to show the facts behind his ideas: The Destruction of the World Trade Center:Why the Official Account Cannot Be True ( Griffin, 2005 ).
However, the USA’s war on terror has had a negative effect on many countries in the world as well as their own, and their citizens by creating animosity in the international community, causing a downturn in their own economy and their major allies, and ruining their international reputation. War on Terror The War on Terror was a military campaign lead by the USA to destroy terrorist throughout the world. Their largest target being Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden. Other countries that have joined the War on Terror are Japan, Canada, Britain, Australia and Spain. However some countries have pulled out due to terrorist attacks within their own country, which in turn can ruin the USA’s
Could our government have masterminded this horrific crime? Actually, I believe they did, I personally believe that the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and the crashing of Flight 93 does not accurately add up to it’s ashes. On September 11, 2001 the media/government reported that terrorists hi-jacked two U.S. commercial airplanes that struck the World Trade Center. Although how could the terrorist successively pass through security and board a plane with weapons, especially after the D.B. Cooper incident?
Ten years ago from September, the citizens of New York and the world woke up to the news that a hijacked airplane had destroyed the World Trade Center and the Twin Towers, symbols of American pride and strength. Reactions, support, and consternation were felt across the world with all foreign countries pledging aid and support to the US in its' time of need. Since then, the world has never been the same. The repercussions of 9/11 include increased security, racial profiling, and the entering of the War on Terror. An Islamic terrorist group called Al Qaeda, led by Osama bin Laden, brought on 9/11.
The world’s Muslims differ substantially not only in their religious views but also in their political and social orientation, including their conceptions of government, law, and human rights; their social agenda (in particular, women’s rights and the content of education); and their propensity for violence. The defining characteristics of the main tendencies in Islam are summarized in a typology that we apply on a region-by-region basis. This methodology allows for a more precise classification of groups and for comparisons across regions and allows us to identify in a systematic way the sectors with which the United States and its allies can find common ground to promote democracy and stability and counter the influence of extremist and violent groups. Having begun to lay the foundations for what could be called a “religio-political map,” we explore the main cleavages in the Muslim world, primarily those between the Sunni and Shi’a branches of Islam and between the Arab and the non-Arab Muslim worlds and those deriving from membership in subnational communities, tribes, and clans.
. Islam Course Project Chamberlain Cultural Diversity Islam Course Project For the course project I chose to research the Islamic faith. I am not familiar with it and I would like to get a better appreciation. A Muslim is a person who submits to the will of God, and is a follower of the Islam religion. Islam is important to study in a cultural diversity class since a common religion influences a culture; therefore it affects how they practice their religion.
