Reflective Account Of A Day At Work I arrive at work at 9am, I turn on my computer and log into my emails and the database. The reason I do this is to check for any emails that may have come in since I left the previous day, most communication internal and external is via email so I want to pick things up as early as I can and also be kept up to date throughout the day. I also need the Key2 database logged in as this gives me quick access to all client files and information should I need it. The database and email account are password protected due to the sensitive nature of the information that we hold, having the password gives greater security measures if someone were to hack into the system. I need to check the last 7 day logs for clients and ensure any client not seen for a period of 7 days or more that there are no major concerns, the reason for this being that we work with a very vulnerable client group and the young person could be vulnerable to exploitation from others, we would normally check with the social worker of the young person if they would like us to visit the property if the young person is not seen, we would enter with keys if there is no answer and if the client isn’t in we would seek further guidance from the social worker to see if they wanted the young person to be reported as missing police reports are normally only made if there are concerns that the young person has gone missing or if they have a history of
