Just as physical products are open to innovation and change, so are new services. An example of this type of innovation is Frederick Smith who is the American entrepreneur responsible for the multi-million dollar international company, Federal Express. He created a new and better way of moving packages between people. New services, like physical products can also have positive movement due to branding. It is beneficial for entrepreneurs to think more along the lines of all product and service aspects instead of in silos and just thinking about producing “products” alone or “services.” That concept is imperative for entrepreneurs to understand as customer service can be added as an additional component as well to a physical product.
Dynacorp Strategic The old division of labour was divided into Engineering, Manufacturing and Marketing units. The new division of labour includes business units composed of engineering and manufacturing functions. As well, a small number of people from the marketing division were assigned to each business unit to deal with market strategy and market positioning. The new “skeleton” of the organization is linked together much stronger. Since before engineering and manufacturing had difficulties moving products from one division to the other, the unification of the two divisions will allow for greater integration.

O’Sullivan describes innovation as something “helping organizations grow…Innovation is the process of making changes to something established by introducing something new” (http://www.sagepub.com/upm-data/23137_Chapter_1.pdf). There has always been the need for organisations to change, update and improve but now more than ever given the world’s current economic situation and the need to more than satisfy market needs. First an organisation must recognise their need to change a current process, their equipment, structure or any other possible thing to change.

Crocs: Revolutionizing an Industry’s Supply Chain Walden University Crocs: Revolutionizing an Industry’s Supply Chain Crocs current product flow process uses a combination of assembly lien and batch flow. They uses whatever media they could and looked for places to advertise that targeted the younger population.
