THE RACING MEMORIES……… We always admire certain movies, autobiographies, stories and lyrics. I think , our own memories, experiences and expectations form the basis for all our tastes and preferences. Today’s experience becomes tomorrow’s memory. Experiences are vivid…. Some are ameliorative… where as… some are devastating!! Our motive should always be to learn from these devastating experiences in order to make our tomorrow’s memory a reverie!! Every evening, when my friends asked me, “how was your day?” I had a habit of saying, “as usual… just a normal day!!” But today, when I look back…. I realise that, memories are innumerable! Some are sweet memories which will always be cherished! Some are learning memories which will always be remembered! It is actually, a bitter-sweet symphony!! Today, when I try to figure out what made some experiences sweet and what made few experiences bitter, I realize that it is our own reactions in different situations. Memories become sweet or bitter because of the way we react to every situation… Therefore, there is always a race between sweet memories and bitter memories. The ratio between the two, will determine our desire to remember our past. Every individual desires to sit back, and cherish the memories of “Good olden days!!” But, whenever we remember our past, why do some devastating memories strike our mind? Have we really learnt from them? Or have we let them break us down? I think, the key to make every memory a reverie lies in our answer to the above stated questions. If we answer these questions to ourselves every evening, we will definitely be able to learn from our experiences and make our EACH DAY worthwhile! There would never be another “just a normal day”….. our day will either be a wonderful one or a learning one! In either ways… it will surely be a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!
