Control of the business is in the hands of each of the partners and percentage of control is stated in the contract agreement at the start of the business. Ethics is different from one person to the next, so it is imperative that business clearly define the norm for staff members and management. The decisions organizations make influence more than business partners, affiliates, culture, and others. It is important for organizations center of attention on maximizing shareholder revenue. Therefore, maximizing profit without causing destruction to the business culture can be a balancing act for most organizations.
The purpose of the argument is to persuade the audience to also arrive at the conclusion the the conservative approach to prison reform is, in fact, best. It is a well written argument and points to some very poignant facts about the current correctional system and the results that it is currently producing. Antitrust law is to encourage corporate competition by restricting anti-competitive behavior. An example is a monopolization and, agreeing with a competitor on product price fixing. The antitrust laws require that each company establish prices and other terms on its own, without agreeing with a competitor. She used both empirical and anecdotal evidence to illustrate her points. She did not just state her opinion; she backed up her statements with interviews with caseworkers and actual welfare clients. I thought her writing to be informative. I also believe that comparing two different cities added more strength and depth to her work. Readers were able to see that the injustices that Hays spoke of were apparent in both welfare offices, which helps the readers see that there is a pattern.
