A telephone is used to help order supplies are running low, to communicate with colleagues/employer who may be in a different part of the building and also to talk to customers if they have an inquiry. 2. What are the benefits to businesses (and others) of using information technology for doing work tasks? There are many benefits to using a variety of different hardware systems as it primarily makes the task easier for you to complete; it can also make the task look more professional. Other benefits to using technology is that it is faster and more effective and there is a lot more that you can do with it such as; inserting images, updating information and storing information onto storage media.
