A Friend’s Magic “Please don’t rain. Please don’t rain,” I thought over and over again. I was watching the weather report. Today was finally the day I was going to the amusement park with my best friends. If it rained we would only be able to stay in the inside part of the park so I was hoping it wouldn’t rain. “Today’s weather is going to be very sunny for the whole day,” stated the forecaster. “Yes!” I exclaimed while jumping up and down. “Don’t jump,” my mom said, “they downstairs neighbors will hear you.” I silently walked into another room and rushed to get ready. It was rare for it to not rain for a whole day during the rainy season. I felt like today was going to be a great day. I dragged my mom out the house, down the elevator and into the parking lot. We got into the car and I could barley sit still. I was so excited. I could see my friends again for the first time in months. About 30 minutes later, we arrived at the amusement park. I saw the huge sign up front that says “Lotte World” in huge, capital letters underneath the a raccoon, the mascot of the amusement park. “Hurry,” I told my mom, “I can’t wait to see everyone else.” Once we parked, I ran to the entrance of the park. Everyone was already there waiting for me. I was so happy to see them again after such a long time. I hugged everyone. I was so happy to see them. It felt as if it had been years, not only a month, since I last saw them. After the greetings, we all said bye to our parents and walked into the amusement park. It was weird. I had been to this amusement park several times before but this time something was different. It was as if I had stepped into a place I had never been to before. Everything seemed a lot brighter and much more cheerful than before. The breeze coming from the ice arena below us felt refreshing rather than cold. The horses one the merry go round seemed
