Visiting a Early childcare and education center showed me there's a lot more than just babysitting or watching kids. when you enter into the Early child care and Education field you are educating, supporting, being responsible for children and loving them like they are your own. Learning about the importance of knowing as much about every childs family and community around them is a great way to become and have a great daycare. Because young childrenís lives are so embedded in their families and communities, and because research indicates that successful early childhood education depends upon partnerships with families and communities, early childhood professionals need to thoroughly understand and apply their knowledge in this area. Some others needs that parents should provide are food, clothing, shelter, medical care, love, and education. 4. I think a nurturing parent should try to give there children everything that they lacked as a child. They should help support their children in good and bad times. They should try to help there kids reach there goals and make there future bright.
Barriers come in many forms, such as when key persons are doing observations and planning. The parents may lack in confidence to give any suggestions or feel that their contribution isn’t worth making at all; they may also not want to get involved in this. However practitioner should let the parents of the child take charge on the suggestion making, instead of the practitioners taking charge. This allows the parents to feel valued and respect being given such an important role, building the parents confidence as their suggestions have be taken into
Families, along with their children, are the program” (Menza-Gonzalez, 2009). Educators who understand child development in perspective to family and community rely on competency to organize an early childhood program which incorporates effective developmentally approved practices which incorporate family and community into the “whole child” approach. “School readiness is, of course, a concern for everybody, but professionals with a child development back-ground often come at it from a different angle than some other professionals and families by recognizing that social-emotional development is vitally tied to cognitive development” (Menza-Gonzalez, 2009). Socially, a child learns to relate to family, peers, teachers and other members of the community through a range of human emotions, interactions, and transitions over the years of development. Emotionally, children
Again that is how my parents worked with me when I was in Elementary School. Though kids may feel afraid, parents in this manner will teach them to be good when they grow up. Bruce again replies that whatever she mentioned is mostly true. He mentions that our families have mostly parental authority and that parents should fix strict borders and grant limited freedom within. He believes this is where kids will learn self independence and motivation.
It was said that one ‘solution’ to the ‘problem’ of inequity was to ‘educate the parents’ (Thomson, P 2002, p. 3) and encourage them to ‘supervise’ their children whilst doing homework. This suggests that with the parent’s encouragement and reinforcement towards the child, they are more likely to want to succeed and feel they have the right to succeed, instead of there being a boundary between the advantaged and disadvantaged children. The parents of both Vicki and Thanh want the best for their children, to graduate and achieve a ‘university’ (Thomson, P 2002, p.2) degree. However Vicki is more likely to succeed because of her parent’s educational background and will be able to provide the support that she needs going through school, whereas Thanh will have to find other sources for educational help because his parents do not have the knowledge that he
Those parents have to stay vigorously involved in schooling their kids. Surely the obligation to ensure our nation’s future must be shared also by those who don’t have children in the public schools. Those people who should take an interest in the students that will eventually be stepping into the workforce. They should be developing work-study groups, internships and job placement banks that they can recruit and develop to be successful. Evidently, the tasks of educating our children nowadays are a lot more difficult than simple examinations and easy solutions.
They like to inform the parents of things going on at the center, and in the government that concern the center. Having relationships with the families is important and they have very close ties with them. The philosophy the center runs by is the idea that a child’s education is one of the most important, if not the most important, aspects of his or her life. With this in mind, teachers are very influential characters. Therefore it is essential that teachers develop their educational philosophy and their educational goals before making the big step from being a student to being a teacher.
The relationship with parents/carers is the first and most important relationship in a child’s life. They need to have a strong bond or attachment to their primary carers to feel loved and secure. Parents are a childs first teachers so they build the basis for the development. It is important that the child is praised for their actions and not criticised to help build their self esteem and self worth. It is important for children and young people to have friends as they learn social skills that will be important to them throughout their lives. These skills can be vital to maintaining social relationships and help them be able to resolve conflict.
If parents take much time at work for example the time spent by Chris in Iraq, their children may end up being poor performers in school which will impact negatively on their lives in the future. So they need to be able to attend to their work and to children too because they need support both in education and in the social perspective of growth. Parents are important because they take a large part in their children growth in the sense that they teach them most of the things about life. In socialisation process of life in which individuals are taught about, customs, culture, and beliefs, parents are the main contributors of ensuring their children are aware of those matters. It is because they are the close parties to them, and it is also their mandate to ensure culture is
