When Tybalt is killed, Lady Capulet, Lord Capulet, and Paris think she is unhappy because of her cousin’s death, which makes Paris respond to this conflict by scheduling the wedding earlier to make Juliet happy again, and that’s one of the biggest conflicts since she told Friar Lawrence she would rather do the most dangerous things than marry Paris. This shows that Othello was not responsible for the bulk of the tragedy but being very gullible and not thinking twice for his actions towards his surroundings and helping Iago’s plan for revenge. In addition, the women in King Richard III are able to see through Richard’s duplicity but have no influence with which to expose him. Shakespeare explores the inherent sexism of Yorkist society and how it leaves the women with no control. Richard’s eventual downfall comes as a result of insatiable greed and paranoia, and his fear of losing power clouds his sight, preventing him from comprehending those around him and ultimately leading to his death. However, even once Richard realises he can do nothing to prevent his defeat, he asserts that he would rather fulfil his hellish role with pride than retreat in cowardice.

To add on, Ophelia’s devoted obedience to her father makes Hamlet allege that Ophelia is deceptive and unfaithful. Hamlet is angry with Ophelia and in rage, he tells her that her beauty is dishonest and that he did love Ophelia once and at the same time, he never did.
Over drinks, Frances confronts him about his wandering eyes and questions his love for her. Michael’s way of looking on women as mere bodies could suggest a kind of degradation, which is to define a woman only as an erotic or sexual figure. Michael reveals that he loves the way women look and when Frances asserts that one-day he will be unfaithful, Michael agrees with her. Frances feels that the day is now ruined and resorts to calling the Stevensons. The universal truth behind this story is that the innate differences between men and women coupled with lack of communication will cause a marriage to stagnate and become an uneasy compromise.

Various destructive forces cause the events to take place, but the most destructive force in the play is trust.

The other characters, however, give into temptation and sin more frequently. Pride, for example, is a prominent sin that affects many characters, Lear being a prime example. Lear's pride keeps him from listening to the advice of Kent, the king's most loyal follower, after he banishes Cordelia and admitting he may have been wrong.
