I learned long ago as a new Christian that if I leaned on my own understanding and trusted my “gut”, I would probably arrive at the wrong decision. This is not due to a lack of intelligence on my part but rather the understanding of the fact that my carnal man, if left to making the decisions for my life, will stray to the things of this world. So I must trust in the Lord for His guidance and direction. Part II: Origin: As stated in the Bible, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). I would like to emphasize the first part of that scripture, In the beginning God… My worldview begins and ends with that fact.
Either you are with Christ or you are not. After Matthew 24:42-44, we get the affirmation from Scripture, that he who is saved, will have a place in Heaven. In Matthew 24:46 The Bible states “Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods”. This verse backs up the previous ones in that it teaches us that once you accept Christ, He will make sure that every single one of your needs is not just met, but met with abundance.
The Crumb Of Dust Edward Taylor’s message to the reader speaks a Puritan based respect for God; and an understanding that without His divine inspiration, Taylor’s work is worthless and unfit to praise God. Taylor is constantly talking to God throughout Prologue. It is the basis of the poem which displays Taylor’s devotion as a Puritan. His puritan background is important for the reader to understand, both why Taylor wrote Prologue and the meaning behind it. Puritan influence meant two things; there wasn’t much else Taylor would’ve been doing other than writing poems and that he had extreme devotion to God.
Christian Studies Essay Option #2 “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”. John 3:16 With reference to the quotation above, outline how Christianity presents the central problem for human existence and explain how this problem is addressed in Christian teaching and practice. Christianity believes that the main problem that comes with human existence is the sin people accumulate throughout their daily lives. This sin, which is attained through bad deeds and the falling short of god’s standards, is the main issue in human existence as it not only creates problems in this life but can also create separation from god and eternal
In their formation, the Confessing Church wrote the Barmen Declaration stating, "We repudiate the false teaching that the church can and must recognize yet other happenings and powers, personalities and truths as divine revelation alongside this one Word of God. … "Three years later, Dietrich wrote his first book that would influence Christianity, “The Cost of Discipleship”. Dietrich was tired of watching people fall into comfort with their faith. He wrote “The Cost of Discipleship” to call people to become more strict in their faith. "Cheap grace is preaching forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline, Communion without confession.

Points thirty-two through forty summarize to say that letters of pardon by the Church do not represent true forgiveness of God. Forgiveness is granted only by God. Luther also stated that all the blessings of Christ come from God even without letters of pardon. Points forty through fifty-one can be summarized as the purchasing pardons is no replacement of one’s moral obligations for acts of love and kindness. Being a Christian involves devout prayer and good deeds for others.
(Matthew 22:37-39) From Jesus’ words we understand the importance of true love and the absolute necessity of its practice in the life of the Christian. Too often is seen the misinterpretation of love as a temporary occurrence that comes and goes in people’s lives and the true definition is lost. The Christian must humbly demonstrate love to God and others by offering their entire life as a living sacrifice. (Romans 12:1) The cold arguments in favor of the advancement cannot prevail against the love of Christ that is found evident in the life of the Christian. Love is the most important weapon in the arsenal of a believer (1 Corinthians 13), and it is vital that the true definition of love be communicated to Advancement thinkers by the life that we live and the Gospel we proclaim.
Either you believe science or you have “blind faith” in some religion. Honestly, it all depends on the person. In Matt 4:17 it says, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” With this being said repent means, to change your mind. If you never believe or have faith in anything, it’s privilege to get it. Most people say it is up to you to believe whatever, but then again there is believing or knowing the truth in life.
