The cold fall wind whistling through the Sycamore trees, as they shook backs forth likes waves. The leaves were scattered all around on the hard and dark dirt floor. It looked like a endless rainbow that disappeared into the horizon. The golden red leaves were spread out perfectly making sure every square inch was covered. It seemed like someone had placed them one by one carefully, making sure it looked perfect. As he wiggled his toes to make some produce some warmth for his toes. He walked like there was no end. Facing directly forward nothing could make him turn, every little sound seemed to remind him of Lennie. And all of the times the spent together good and bad. He tried to cry but it seemed like the cold had frozen everything inside, and only his emotions were alive. His heart was beating faster, and faster. He felt so lost, so lonely, he had no home. And his home was dead. In his head his entire life replayed. George has never had his feeling of emptiness inside. As if he wasn’t there, he had left with Lennie’s soul to a better place. The wind grew louder and harder, as it swept away everything in its way. George was thinking what would he do now. Would he keep working to achieve the dream Lennie and him had. Or would he just end it right here. As darkness seemed to settle, there was that little light left. Like when you wake up in the morning and look out your window.
