Radio is about a twenty-three year old mentally disabled young black man named James Robert Kennedy who pushes a shopping cart along the streets. The movie itself is more of a drama and is based on a true story. He gets the name Radio because he is always seen with one wherever he goes. He is attracted by a high school football team, but after the team's coach (Coach Jones) - taking pity on Radio, both for his disability and his enthusiasm - asks him to help, the team members abuse Radio by locking him into a shed. The team's coach reprimands them, and delivers Radio to his house, where Radio's mother is introduced.

In the novel Animal Farm, Mr Jones is the former owner of the farm. Jones is an extremly heavy drinker. The animals rebel against the owner after he drinks so much that he isn’t able to feed or take care of them. Which means that they are rebelling against their oppressors. In Syria the people are rebelling because the government is not taking care of them and they're not providing them with resources they need.
Likewise, the hardships Tom had to endure as a child toughened his soul and sharpened his mind. Abandoned by his alcoholic father, Tom lived in “a miserable tworoom tenement” (Anderson 650) with his mom and siblings. The situation went from bad to worse when his mother passed away, leaving her little children uncared for. Tom, who was just 10 years old at that time, forced himself to overcome grief and to hold himself together for the sake of his siblings. He even shoved his father off in the funeral of his mother and worked arduously to fend for his family.
Movie Analysis: Gran Torino Gran Torino is a 2008 drama film directed by and starring Clint Eastwood. The story follows Walt Kowalski, an aging Korean War veteran who has spent most of his life living in a Detroit suburb working at a local Ford factory. The film opens with the death of Walt’s wife and we are immediately introduced to his scornful views of everything around him, including his own family. He is a man that is hardened by despair, holding prejudices strengthened by his past especially his time serving in the military. Walt’s neighborhood has been decimated by the economic downturn, particularly with the fall of his beloved Ford factory.
My View Of Sociology and Suicide Our fourteen year old son has struggled with severe depression and made an attempt to take his own life. We have him hospitalized in a long-term mental hospital. It has been the hardest time for our family as we try hard to understand why that he is suicidal The theorist that best supports my view of Sociology is Emile Durkheim, because his theory has opened my eyes to why suicide occurs, therefore, it has helped me to understand my son’s reasoning for his suicidal ideation.
