A long, long time ago Columbus High School held their homecoming dance on Halloween night. My name is Victoria and it was my first homecoming. After arriving at the school I went to the courtyard. I was in a congregation, group of people in a crowd with all the students of Columbus High School. I was with my friends having a great time, when the lights went out. I didn’t know where to go or what to do, so I just didn’t move. The lights came back on and there was no one in site except for my friend Hanna. “Where did everyone go?” screamed Hanna. I screamed back, “I don’t know! Lets split up and try to find them.” That’s when Hanna and I saw a lineament, outline of a body, in the window of the auditorium. Hanna and I ran to the center of the courtyard holding onto each other for dear life. I looked at Hanna and said, “Come on we have to split up and find the others.” Hanna went to the right and I went to the left. That was the last I saw of Hanna for what seemed like an eternity. I was walking through the hallways but there was still no one to be found. I went up to the third floor, and still nothing until I turned down a hallway. All the lockers where open. I saw the worry and panic on their faces. I quickly looked at all of the faces to see if Hanna was up there. Finally, I found her. A man, the one who was doing all of this, was holding her? She screamed at the top of her lungs! The man had her strapped in a chair with duck tape around her hand and feet so she couldn’t move. That’s when I screamed out, “Looks like I found you, and I will kill you.” I pointed the gun at the man. Shooting a gun is not my forte, strong point, but I knew he could not live.
