Music seems to also cheer me up. Listening to my favorite songs is an easy way to brighten up my day. In a tough situation, I would listen to music because it’s the most convenient way to relieve stress. I like the tennis strategy more, but it’s not always the best thing to get up and go outside. Listening to music can be done in any situation.
Youvika Menos Mul 1010 Concert Report I attended the Boston pops on the 4th of July 2010, during the event I was a casual listener as I learn from my music class ” this type of listener likes having music playing, filling the environment with sounds, whether present as a background to drive, study, work, exercise, or hang out with friends”. The environment was very enjoyable people sat on the grass they wear funny Abraham Lincoln hat it was a family environment. Many pieces were performed but most of them were patriotic. There were many style that were performed for example modern, classical, etc… the instrumentation of the orchestra was amazing, some of the instruments I don’t even know their name, but from where I was I could see that there
The song, which started with an electric guitar riff, immediately grabbed the crowd’s attention. The guitar sounded funky and very jazzy. After a few measures, the trumpet, drums, and bass added to the guitar sound. They continued to jam this song for about ten minutes. This song was definitely arranged however they had their own improvisations.
ROLLING STONE VOLUME 105 2013 This Southern Landscape by Chloe Foster This week’s exclusive addition is all about how Australian artists relate their music to the landscape. We will explore how the landscape you grow up in, speaks to you in a way that nowhere else does, It’s a place where you feel right and comfortable and you can’t go anywhere else and have that same feeling. To explore this concept we look through a large range of eclectic artists, coming down to some amazing singer-songwriters and groups including Jack O’Hagan, B. Brown/W. Johnson, Christine Anu and Paul Kelly. Their songs represent their home and their connection with the landscape.
This song is a very upbeat and happy song, reminding people to live life to the fullest and enjoy it while we’re young. Good life is a great song to listen to if you’re feeling down, depressed, or you’re just having a bad day. It gets you in a good mood, and reminds you to enjoy everything you have in your life. We’re all young, and when we’re 50 years old, we won’t be able to do half as much as the stuff we can do now. This song is reminding us to savor life and don’t waste any of it, which is why I personally like this song.
Slaves were permitted to dance, sing, and play drums on Sundays. Congo Square is where African cultures in music were blended with European cultures. This place is prominent in the history of jazz music because Congo Square is where slaves had some sort of freedom to express themselves musically which had great influence on the genre of jazz. Many great musicians emerged to show their individual talents in this particular style of music. A
Music being played live should always be appreciated because the future is going downhill as far as appreciating true and live music. New and upcoming music is used by a lot of vocoders and synthesizers and are getting away from the natural and basis of music. As an ensemble, everything was great and I truly enjoyed myself. I will definitely be joining for the Fourth annual evening of Jazz to witness the smooth sounds of this
The team skills I have learnt from playing sport have proved valuable in a passion of mine; playing guitar in a band. This often requires large amounts of patience, compromise and respect for others’ opinions, especially when overcoming musical differences when writing songs. I am also interested in the beat generation of the 1950s and the works of literature it inspired, and wrote my extended independent research essay on the subculture’s influence on the subsequent mainstream culture. I have always loved to travel and since reading Jack Kerouac’s ‘On the Road’ I have felt compelled to do so more often; this summer I spent a month travelling across Europe with a group of friends visiting nine cities in eight countries and I’m currently saving towards a trip across South America. I think that my scientific background, analytical ability and skill in problem solving make me an ideal candidate for studying psychology.
and listen to the early classics like Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Elvis, Jerry Lee, etc. and read the latest Hit Parader magazine. I also remember, quite early, exploring the radio for music, having the audacity to actually travel to the BLACK radio stations which, in Cleveland, were WJMO and WABQ and had lots of gospel, blues, r&b, jazz, etc. All of this made my transition from kids music to early rock n roll much easier. As it did with my mom and dad, even with their disparate early influences.
