Done BY: Van Kenneth B. Balaoro Chapter 1 – Pep Rally Screaming, cheering, and roaring echoed throughout the school hallways of Hester McKinley High School. Then, there was Dylan. He was in detention for answering back to the teacher. This was not the case. Flashback: It was fifth period – English class.
She said I could say anything I want in my report and that I might not pass on her remarks accurately or I might make her look bad. I assured her that I would make every effort to report her description as best I could. She asked when she should be expecting to receive her upgraded computer and said that she has had to use the computers in the labs since her class began and that she is at a real disadvantage not having her own computer. I told her that SchoolTools makes every effort to resolve customer complaint issues within 6 weeks. She said that would be too late; her course would be more than half over by then.
Art Presentation Paper On Tuesday April, 20 2010 I attended an art presentation in Bohannan 90 at 6 o’clock. It was the last available presentation that we could attend and write this required paper for the class. I knew early in the semester that I should go and get it done and not wait until the last minute because I would regret it. Well sure enough I procrastinated and I definitely regretted it. Within the first five minutes of being there I regretted it.
I’ve went to school with her since we were in the seventh grade. My first week at Little Caesars was tough. There was a lot
Three main reasons for this decline were lack of facilities, uninterested administration, and scheduling. The middle school saw three different principals in six years, and four different assistants. Not a single administrative leader had a desire to see the arts grow. In fact, seven years ago, one administrator took the room designed as a band room, with storage space, practice rooms, office, exterior access for evening rehearsals, and sound-proofing, away from the band and gave it to a math teacher. The band classes were sent to a building away from the main school, in a suite of rooms not designed for music, much less band classes.
The first year you can try out to play for the high school team. I always knew I wanted to play for the high school, so when tryouts began I was extremely nervous. My nerves were magnified by the fact that I did not know a single person there. On the first day of practice, we practiced throwing and hitting so that the coaches could make first round cuts. I remember walking up to the bulletin board after that first day with my hands shaking.
The title says it all; “Mean Girls” a movie directed by Mark Waters in 2004 came to define a generation, and subsequently, me. This is not to say I am a mean girl, but I am someone who lived, loved, danced, and laughed my way through the mean hallways of my high school. There are many small ways this movie can relate to everyone’s high school experience but here is how it related to mine… In the movie Cady Heron enters high school after being home schooled in Africa. She tries to navigate through the classrooms and regulations without looking stupid – much like myself in 9th grade. I entered my high school with plenty of friends, but the rules had changed.
Like most people who were old enough at that time, September 11th is a day that I vividly remember to this day. I remember exactly where I was when I found out about these attacks, what I saw and heard on that day, and how it made me feel. On the morning of September 11th, I was sitting in my fifth grade class when I first heard about the events that were taking place. I remember another school staff member running into our class and telling my teacher what was happening. We didn’t have a cable connection in our classroom so my teacher lined my classmates and I up to move to another classroom.
Bullied It all started September 2001 I had just moved from Jersey City Heights to the Journal Square area. While I was living in the Heights I was attending number six school where I had many friends and got along with almost everyone. Then the day came where my mom said we had to move and I had to attend a new school. At the time I was only six years old. I then began attending number eleven school where I made one friend only because she lived down the block from where I just moved.
