I will endeavor to: 1. Identify each business professional and briefly describe their main contributions to the field of technology and leadership, 2. Discuss the resistance that each encountered in presenting and furthering their research, ideas, or programs, 3. Discuss any similarities I see in their professional stories, 4. IDENTIFY EACH BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL AND BRIEFLY DESCRIBE THEIR MAIN CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE FIELD. MICHAEL DELL: After introducing his first product catalog called “Dell Stamp”, Michael Dell founded the Dell Corporation in 1984. His business strategy is based on direct sales to customers thereby eliminating intermediaries (middleman). This strategy made Dell to gain a greater market share of the computer industry in the 1990s. “This bottom-up strategy was based on customer needs and preferences” (Krames, 2003, p.59). ANDY GROVE: - Born in Hungary but spent the rest of his life in the United States thus after fleeing the war, Andy Grove cofounded a small high-tech Company in the late 1960s. His main contribution was the development of high quality computer memory chips that could store huge data without increasing the cost (Krames, 2003, p. 135-136). 2.
