While serving time in Charleston Prison Malcolm x had a friend that was very knowledgeable and Malcolm envied that. Malcolm was use to skipping over words not understanding them. As I mention above he studied in prison, then he discover freedom by reading and opening his mind to a new life and finding that through books people can share their history and by reading one can become part of it.
