Making the Right Choice Choices have consequences. That is a basic fact in life, but it seems as if many people do not realize this until it is too late. Many people do not think about the consequences that follow their actions. It is very important to stop and think before you act. Why do people not think about this? Why do they just act as if everything is ok? There are many reasons why people do not care about their decisions. Many people think they are perfect and they cannot go wrong, no matter which way they choose. No matter what type of person, everyone should think about their actions before they act. There are many reasons why people do not think about their consequences, but I find the most common reasons are because they do not care or they are living in the moment. Many people are living in the moment when they make bad decisions. Teenagers are the prime example of this type of person. When it comes to making the right choice, when does someone stop and think, and brainstorm before acting? This does not happen much these days. High school students love to be the center of attention. They want to be the most popular and most adored. Many of them become this way by making the wrong choices, and not thinking. Being the first person to bring alcohol to a party would defiantly make a teen popular, but did the teen stop and think about the consequences? Of course not, because they are living in the moment. Teen’s actions could very likely lead to some one driving drunk, someone getting alcohol poisoning, or someone possibly dying. Teens should always think before they act and never live in the moment. There are other types of decision makers out there, like the people who just do not care. It is sad to say that they are not just teens, it is definitely adults too.
