I got 26 out of 30 Correct The ones with all 4 answers remaining were incorrect 1) In her work in the publishing industry, Vera seeks out new authors whom she considers promising. In the past 2 years she has found a number of new writers whose work she thought was exceptional, and immersed herself in the task of helping them shape their manuscripts for submission to her managers for publishing. Although she was extremely proud of the results, none of the authors she worked with were chosen for publication. Vera believes that the decision not to publish these authors was based on personal rivalries within management, rather than the quality of her writers' work. She is extremely frustrated, dreads coming into work each morning, and is seriously thinking of resigning.
At this time you did not need a college degree to work in this industry and she got the job after her first interview. She said she was pretty good looking and a very good people person at the time and she believes that was a lot of the reason she got her job. She thought job searching was fun, but yet frustrating because she needed a job as soon as possible to help put my father through college, because she was living with him at the age of eighteen out of high school. She thought that all the hard work at home and with various tasks that her parents made her do helped her keep a good work ethic when she acquired this first job. She thinks that if she would want to change something about her careers and choices it would be that she would try more things out rather than just sticking with the same job for her entire life.

The Tori Paradox (Klosterman 145) demonstrates how hyper reality occurs to keep the integrity of Saved by the Bell. Klosterman writes, “For half of the “senior year” at Bayside, Jessie and Kelly are completely part of the action… However they are suddenly absent for twelve consecutive episodes having been replaced by ‘Tori’ … that displays elements of both personalities. Within moments of her arrival, Tori is completely absorbed into the bayside gang; she’s romantically pursued by Zack and Slater and generally behaves as if she has always been one of their closest friends.” (Klosterman 145) The image of Tori doesn’t change the integrity of the show because she is Jessie and Kelly. Klosterman than writes, “This lasts until graduation when Kelly and Jessi suddenly reappear if nothing ever happened. Meanwhile tori does not appear at graduation and is not even mentioned.” (Klosterman 145) This just concretes the idea the Kelly and Jessie are interchangeable with Tori.

Not only did Marv’s actions bring about a change in Ed’s character, but so did his words. Marv confides in Ed, explaining “This, this is how I look like at three a. m., Ed. Every morning. I see that girl—that dirt-poor, spectacular girl (Zusak 288).” By speaking to Ed like this, Ed comes to a realization. This is what true friends are.
We often did activities and projects that made us think about and study the material in a way that was not the norm. I ended up with a 96 in the class and it is one of my best final grades from high school. 3. The first thing a good student needs is work ethic. If you have a good work ethic and always get your work done on time then you never have to worry about not doing well in a class.

When it came to bonus at the end of every quarter she would pretty much give everyone the same quarterly bonus. It didn’t matter if the employees surpass their goals or didn’t achieve their goals. This type of behavior promoted laziness because the employees knew that they were going to be rewarded the same if they meet their goals or not. George Miller probably gave everyone a rating of a 3 because he is a hard grader and for someone to get a rating of a 5 they had to really show George that they deserve and earned a rating more than just meeting expectation. 2.
For a long time the gender of men has been favored over women with similar or equal strengths (Wikipedia, 2012). You would think that this form of discrimination would be over by now, but from my previous experience with working in a field or environment with a majority of men. I ‘ve got seven years experience in construction and carpentry, being the only woman on the crew, I had to jump and dodge plenty of obstacles along the way. Being the only woman on a construction crew, I had plenty of bad days because it was very challenging at times. I receive a lot of compliments all the time from people telling me I have a lot of strength to be a women, but for some reasons my co-workers wasn’t interested in my strengths.
