Rhetorical Analysis “love the Right chemistry The article, “Love: The right chemistry” by Anastasia Toufexis attempts to explain the concept of love in a logical and scientific manner in which the layman might understand. The author expresses that love isn’t just a nonsense behaviour or feeling that exhibits characteristics similar to that of a narcotic drug, but it is in fact brought about by an organized chemical chain of events beyond the control of an individual. Subsequently , simple actions such as an intense stare into the eyes, the sudden and increase production of sweat on the hands and face, the tingly feeling inside is a result of a scientific motive which makes the notion of love more tangible and factual especially to researchers…show more content…
Her credentials have nothing about being a biochemists, physiologist or pharmacologist which would be the appropriate fields of study for such an article. Thus Anastasia Tofexis is not academically qualified to write an article about the chemical of love without being professional enough to exclude personal biases. The short background information about the author’s credential even stated that she has “some best-selling cover stories on subjects such as medicine……;” simple put stories are not facts and this alone affects her credibility and reliability altogether on covering the chemicals behind love. The article in itself seems to play off as a cover story too as there is no in depth scientific explanation behind any of her reasoning, which shows her being a novice a topic she has a true motive to. That motive was to discredit scientists and researchers who approached love in one hand and science in the other.
