Kealey Clark UNIT. 302 C Describe how my own values, beliefs, and experiances may affect my working practice. Everybody has different values, beliefs, and preferences. What you believe in, whats acceptable, important, and desirable is an essential part of who you are. My belief is to have a aim in life, and work towards it, whether it be a aim in life to work towards, whether it be higher qualifications to better my job prospects or working towards bettering my career path, each is a great belief for me to acheive as this will be beneficial to my children and improve my way of life.
Striving To See Your Own Success Success is the strive for consistent greatness it is what we all are thirsty for. It also means to achieve any goals or dreams that you have in life. To be successful in anything requires a lot of hard work and dedication. To many, success seems to come suddenly. When you observe others and what they have achieved you usually don’t appreciate what it has taken for them to get where they are.
However, nothing is impossible instead it says “I’m Possible”. All sectors of society should work together. Even at our young age, we play a pivotal role in making our dream a reality. Our involvement should be far more than joining discussions, more than words, we need action. And every little action constitute to a bigger and better effect.
In a study conducted by Martin Seligman cited by Spoors et al, Seligman found that happiness levels increased in participants in the study when they were encouraged to focus on more positive things that had happened in their past, and to reflect on their own personal strengths and to write a daily list of things that had gone well and the reasons why. The differences that Youth services have made in my life are going to help me in the community and make a difference in the future. I have developed skills that should benefit me in college and in life. I am smart, so I know I can make the right decisions. I am mature, so I know I can manage my own things. I am reliable, so I know I will try my hardest not to disappoint my fellow classmates and teachers.
There is too much pressure on children from such a young age, not long after they start walking and talking, to become overachievers. She writes of people who set challenging goals of attending college with unreasonable, and often unreachable, expectations. There are too many forces at work showing them how easy it is to fail. She points out that although the average life span is longer than ever, the pace is exhausting and children are pushed to do more, and do it faster and better than everyone else. She also implies that children are made to feel that they must not disappoint those who hold such high expectations and have provided them with all of the opportunities to become successful.
In order for your dreams to come true you must put in work. We all have dreams. We all have a purpose for living. As human, we have the desire to live a full life and fulfill our dreams. Faith is having the ability to dream.
College At Last! Starting college later in life can be a rewarding experience. Going Back to college has given me a sence of achievement, Also has made me a better role model for my children, and also will bring better carrer opportunities within the near future. Going back to college has been a long term goal of mine and i'm very proud of my self for taking the initiative to reach my goal. Though, i know that with me being a full time employee and parent, college will be a little more complicated.
Things happen in your life for a reason, some good and some bad. Coming of Age Coming of Age can be tough especially entering the adult world! Sometimes growing up you don’t realize how easy you have it as a kid. As you grow up you go through obstacles that “mold” and “shape” you into the person you become. I can’t say that I would want to be a kid again but there are somethings I would like to change about my past.
