Life expectancy depends on social development, accessibility and food consumption and consumerism. Healthcare varies globally from one country to another. Today it is very simple to distinguish ones healthcare status from another. A good way to do this is to calculate things like life expectancy and infant mortality. Our country happens to be somewhat in the middle of the life expectancy spectrum within it's peer countries. The highest is Japan and the lowest in the United States. Life expectancy has a lot to do with the wealth of a country. The wealthier and developed countries have the higher life expectancies. The poorer countries tend to have a low life expectancy. The top countries with the highest life expectancies are ; Monaco, Japan and Australia. The lowest countries are ; Uganda, Afghanistan and Chad. These results have to do with social development. The level of social development contributes tremendously to healthcare and life expectancy of a country. A country like Japan has a huge gap from a country like Chad because they are a lot more technologically advanced. With health as one of their top priorities and the technology to go about fulfilling this they have life expectancies around 83.91 years. Whilst a county like Chad with very little social development has a life expectancy of 48.69 years. Healthcare accessibility is also a huge factor. A huge percentage of the world has universal healthcare, although this does not mean that a country without it has a low life expectancy. For example the U.S. does not have universal healthcare but still has a relatively high life expectancy of 78.49. Consumerism is a factor as North American countries have such a high food consumerism rate that it has become to a fault. Where a country like Uganda has such a low consumerism rate that they are in the deepest of poverty. Life expectancy depends on social
