They learn to deal with the mistakes they have done and learn from them. We just didn't know about it." Pg.74 Throughout the time that this story began the Youngers has learned many lessons about
Angela’s Ashes shows the reader how an addiction can wreak havoc on a family, especially when that family has little to begin with. Frank tells this story of hardships due to his father’s alcoholism and how his family was able to survive in the twentieth century in both The United States of America and in Ireland. Malachy’s drinking problem really hindered the McCourt’s potential to succeed and should never have been there at all. Addiction is one of the worst things that can happen to a
Good fathers are like a stanchion of the family unit– they are able to use their strength to support their children and their families through difficulties. They are solid and hardworking, and assume the role of the masculine leader within their family. Families that do not have strong men at their core often lack the guidance that is essential to their functioning dynamics. William Faulkner’s, As I Lay Dying, generates a family that is entirely faulted. After the mother, Addie Bundren, dies every member of the Bundren clan makes a contribution to their eventual collapse; however, Anse Bundren’s flaws are the underlying factor of every catastrophe which the family encounters.
Because of the malnourishment and poverty they lived in, Richard was not able to have a happy, bright, normal life as that of a child born during the 21st century. Not only did Richard not have a normal life, his life revolved around getting a job to help maintain his family at a very young age. When Richard was less than five years old, his father left him and his brother in his sick mother’s care. My name Canice Dike, and this is my family tree of the Nwosu/Dike interjection. My birth began in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania , also known as the “City of Brotherly Love”. I had a tough life growing up because my mother went through trouble with my father. To be honest I was almost born in prison, but to be honest it was kind of a good thing. If I was born in a rich based area I would probably be a spoiled little kid and I thank god for being able to see through the struggles of one’s family and through the struggles of all this I think that it made me stronger and that I sympathize with the families that work super hard to make it in life.

The lack of school material, clothes, or even living in terrible conditions can lead to the not reaching their full potential due to the lack of motivation. The government in 2012 released 3.5 billion dollars to The Native American Reservations, which for 350,000 people is equivalent to 1000 dollars (Volz, “$3.4B Indian Lawsuit Ends, Disbursements to Begin”). However, how far might this money go in a struggling household? The insufficient environment that Native Americans live in is nothing like we might find in any cities in the Northwest. The lack of motivation caused by years of not having a job and watching your family suffer in poverty is a condition that not too many of us are familiar with.

I cannot bear seeing my parents like this! I want them to be happy and feel well. This mansion (#16) has grown quite and gloomy. Only mother, father, and I stay in the mansion (#7). Today some relatives have come to visit mother.
We must value our parent hardships in order for us to grow healthy and have an education. We must take now the opportunity saying I Love You to our parents before we regret in the end. I finally realized that FAMILY is more important than any other thing. It is the most precious thing that we will have in our life. I conclude that the greatest happiness are family happiness.
